Sunrise!!

So 5 days a week I ride with either Thomas or John. Either Thomas or John dropping me off at work or me dropping John off at work. Life with three drivers and two cars, but I may start walking to work... certainly will not hurt me a bit.

So the other morning I am getting in the truck and I see this sunrise... Just beatuiful... Wanted to share it. This was taken from my driveway looking east.

Texas Homecoming

Ok new experience for John and me. Randy and Rachel, couple we met at church, took us to 6-Man High School Football. Randy's brother is the football coach at a small school name Amherst (about 30+ miles from us). There is a small town near us named Kress. Now there are schools in Texas that are so small they are not able to get enough students to play traditional football - eleven players. So they have what they call Six-Man Football. It is just that - six players on offense and six on defense, very different rules and a bit more exciting. Well, Amherst came to Kress to play football and it was Kress' Homecoming.

Now for homecoming here in Texas, they do not have homecoming dances. But the guys are to buy girls mums and the girls buy boys garders. Now these are not ordinary mums. These are decked out mums. Usually artifical with streamers, blinky lighted things, glitter and ribbons.

Well, believe it or not Kress' mascot is a Kangaroo. The Kress Kanagroos. The photo is of their Kanagroo with the Mum's she received from boys. Now when you are sitting on the visitors side the mums don't look like mums. I nearly pee'd my pants - I had to take a picture.... I hope you get the humor. So Rachel and I went and let the Kangaroo know she looked like she had tata's.... the student did not get it until we were walking away - - it was so funny!!!!!!

What do 16 year old boys do?

Well 16 year old boys lock themselves in trunk of cars. Yes that is exactly what Thomas did, at church no less infront of about 20-30 people. Thomas bored is sitting in his trunk waiting for sunday evening activities to start when his friends decide (including Thomas) to see what happens when you shut the trunk....... Not the brightest moment in his life. Thankfully John and I were at church in our Precept class. We were interrupted in class by the youth pastors wife saying, "do you happen to have keys to your other car? Your son locked himself in his trunk." Well you can imagine how that went over. So, What do 16 year old boys do - - make bad decisions......
